Romina Daniele presents a preview of Spannung in Milan.

Romina Daniele will perform on Sunday 24 July at the Carroponte in Sesto San Giovanni, during an evening promoted by the Centro Musica Contemporanea in collaboration with Arci. In this occasion the artist will present a preview with some excerpts from “Spannung”, her new album coming out soon with RDM. The musician’s third album takes its name from none other than Martin Heidegger; ‘spannung’, in fact, is the term with which the German existentialist philosopher indicates the tension of being.

With this latest project, Romina Daniele arrives at a previously unpublished formal representation. In an emancipated conception of music, the reference to genres, from blues to contemporary, occurs in a territory of crossing and indifferentiation, focused on research on sound and the composition of sound matter, in vocality as in electronic music.

Daniele’s previous releases were “Diffrazioni Sonore” (2005), which investigated the relationship between vocal improvisation and the composition of sounds fixed with technological tools; and “Aisthànomai”, the Tragedy of Consciousness (2008), which explored the relationship between poetry and the composition of sound in the studio.

Romina Daniele has already received numerous awards during her career: she won the international Demetrio Stratos award for Vocal Research in 2005 and 2007, and the Arci Award for Musical Experimentation, on the occasion of the 5 Giornate per la Nuova Musica Festival, last March 2011.

Here are the details of the date:
